Elvio Cogno’s ‘Mandorlo’ is a fuller-bodied, more muscular expression of Dolcetto, packed with fruit—wild red berries, especially—and hints of almond on a very long finish. This is a great daily drinker, but has enough structure to benefit from some aging.
