The 2021 Volnay Les Aussy 1er Cru has an intriguing bouquet, a bit "green around the gills", perhaps not quite achieving complete phenolic ripeness, yet fresh and charming. The palate is again, quite lean, light and fresh with brittle red fruit and a slightly attenuated, again quite Pommard-like austere finish. Drink over the next 6- 9 years.
