Hiyu Tzum Ashlar 2022

This field blend comes from a single vineyard planted in the 1970s on a steep hillside of basalt. From a cool year, this wine saw long hang times and thus balances full ripeness with fresh, racy acid structure. Macerated for 7 days on the skins, it straddles the line between classic cool-climate white and skin-contact ‘orange’ wine. Pleasantly reductive, with hints of peaches, lavender, lime zest, & stone. Very age-worthy.
