The 2022 Palistorti Di Valgiano is from young vines and is made with 70% Sangiovese and 15% each Syrah and Merlot. Displaying a saturated magenta color, the nose reveals a layered and lightly rustic feel, with notes of savory wild herbs, turned earth, plum, violets, and saddle leather. Full-bodied, it has a ripe mid-palate, a refreshing spine of acidity, crunchy, fresh, ripe fruit, and refined tannins. It's a gorgeous wine with a lot of personality to drink over the coming 10-12 years.

The 2022 Palistorti di Valgiano is soft, open-knit and fruity, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Crushed flowers, sweet red/purplish and sweet spice are nicely pushed forward. Delicate and understated, the 2022 is a delight. The finish is just a touch slender, otherwise this is very nicely done.
