The 2021 The President's Blend is 85% Malbec and 5% Syrah from El Cepillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from San Jose, all in the Uco Valley. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, it's garnet-red in the glass. The fruit-forward nose offers notes of blackcurrant and mint, complemented by sour cherry, plum and black pepper. The 2021 is dry with finely-grained tannins and well-balanced acidity, resulting in a juicy, lightly structured red. The linear profile ends with a long-lasting finish of fruit and minty flavor. The cool year helped take the wine to another level.
