Farmed biodynamically and vinified with minimal intervention, this is one serious Nero d’Avola! With two years aging in Slavonian oak and another 2-3 in bottle before release, this is a well-developed, elegant Nero with intense floral aromas, smoky minerality, & terrific acidity. Tasty!

The 2019 Nero d'Avola Contrada is spicy, with vivid red plum and spiced blood orange accentuated by violet florals. This is soft and juicy in character, with a saline tinge up front that gives way to wild berries and savory herbal tones. The 2019 finishes crisp and vibrant. Tangerine and sour cherry notes settle over a gentle layer of fine tannins. There's so much depth and complexity within, and for a wine that finished at just 12% abv-well done. The Contrada is a varietal Nero d'Avola.
