This Cinsaut from coastal vineyards is aromatic and full-bodied. Light notes of herbs are mixed with ripe cherry, raspberry and cranberry flavors over a chalky texture. Moderate acidity and solid tannins frame the palate.

The 2022 Cinsault, vinified in concrete with six days on the skins, just a little muted on the nose at the moment despite coaxing. I manage to eke out traces of pomegranate and cranberry with aeration. Fine delineation. The palate is more articulate with red cherries and wild strawberry, gentle grip, and fine weight towards the finish with a dash of black pepper that leaves the mouth tingling on the finish. Give it a year in bottle.
