Nosiola is an ancient grape variety native to Trentino and valued for its ability to grow well in poor soils. Fermented on the skins for 8 months in clay amphorae before moving to acacia casks. Although not particularly ‘orange’ in color, it is powerfully aromatic and pleasantly funky—wow!

The 2020 Nosiola Fontanasanta is so pretty and delicate with crushed flower petals, young peach and chamomile. This is soft and round, with stimulating minerality and a sweet and sour citrus twang motivated by juicy acidity. It tapers off long yet finessed and perfumed, leaving a subtle tug of tannin upon the palate.
