If you came to our first “Midnight in Paris” event this past winter, or our 20th Anniversary event @ MAM, then you already know how well Manouche jazz (a.k.a. Django-jazz, French Gypsy Jazz) pairs with all things Amanti Vino! And we can’t wait to take this event to the next level…
Join Sharon & Wes on Tuesday, October 27th, @ 7PM at Turtle + the Wolf as they host an evening of French wine & food paired with the magnificent sounds of guitarist Stephane Wrembel! Stephane has become a regular at our Montclair shop and we are thrilled to collaborate with him again. Lo' has been jonesing to make his famous Cassoulet for the Amanti faithful, so this worked out perfectly! We have a stunning menu inspired by the southern French countryside – culminating with chef's famous Cassoulet! Our favorite French wine, Chef Lo's inspired cuisine, and Django Reinhardt-inspired jazz played LIVE by the master himself...could it get any better!?
For this event, Stephane will play short sets in between each carefully curated course. Renowned for his unparalleled breadth and depth as a musician, composer, and educator, Wrembel has spent over two decades shaping a sound that transcends genre and borders. Wrembel’s global breakthrough came with his composition “Bistro Fada,” the charming waltz that became the theme for Woody Allen’s 2011 Oscar®-winning film Midnight in Paris. From impressionist solo compositions by the great Django Reinhardt, to traditional waltzes, to Louisiana swing, and, of course, his famous Grammy-winning composition “Bistro Fada,” the range of styles & techniques will dazzle any music lover.
