Amanti Vino Shipping Policy

Shipping and Delivery

We are happy to deliver or ship your products to you as long as it is legal. We will deliver to any home or office within a 25 minute radius of Amanti Vino. We will ship your products via FedEx anywhere outside of this area, assuming that it is legal to do so*. In the event that that we use FedEx to ship your wine to you, you will be charged the FedEx shipping rates which can be calculated on our website. Local delivery is free for orders over $100 or more than a case. A $4 delivery charge will be added to orders less than that.

Please note that an adult over the age of 21 must be present to receive your shipment/delivery. FedEx will make 3 attempts to leave the package with an adult over the age of 21. After the third attempt the package will be shipped back to us and we will need to charge you shipping again to reship the package. To avoid this potential situation, many customers choose to send their packages to their offices to ensure that there is an adult there to sign for it.

*Amanti Vino can legally ship to the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Transfer of Ownership & Damage

Once you furnish us with a credit card and we charge your order, ownership of the products is transferred to you. We are happy to set up delivery or shipment as a service to our customers, but we are not responsible for any damage that happens en route. That said, we insure all FedEx packages before sending them out to give you recourse should something happen to your wine. Your final checkout estimate reflects this insurance. If you would like to waive this insurance, generally saving a few dollars on shipping, please ask to do so in the notes. If something happens to a package that has not been insured, you will have no recourse with FedEx.

Our employees will always use the utmost care when handling your wine. That said, if your package is damaged due to driver negligence we will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation.

Estimated Shipping and Delivery Time

We will make every attempt to ship your order on the day that it is placed. That said, orders placed late in the day may be processed the next business day. We ship all of our products exclusively with FedEx. While most customers choose FedEx Ground, Two-Day and Overnight options are available for a premium. All three options appear in the “checkout” section of the website (along with store pickup, which is free). As delivery times will vary based on your distance from the store, we will take all the necessary steps to ensure that you wine is delivered as efficiently as possible. For example, if you order a case of wine to be delivered to California via FedEx ground on a Thursday we will wait until the following Monday to ship (unless you made alternative arrangements at the time of order). This will ensure that your wine does not sit in a Fed Ex warehouse over a weekend.

We will also postpone shipments if extreme heat or cold is expected during the duration of the wine’s transportation. Final decisions about releasing shipments will be made on a case by case basis, but generally we will not send packages if it’s above 80 or below freezing at Amanti Vino or the final destination. Our storage facilities are temperature controlled and we are happy to hold your wine free of charge until the weather is more appropriate for shipping. As previously stated, the wine is yours as soon as you are charged and the final decision on weather related postponements is yours.

If we are delivering locally we will establish a delivery time that works for you. We will make every attempt to deliver your wine on request but on heavy delivery days or for orders outside our normal delivery area, extra time should be allotted. If we are delivering to your home, we will often wait until after 5pm to ensure that there is an adult there to sign for the wine.

Confirmation Emails and Tracking Numbers

You will receive an email once your package has left Amanti Vino. This email will include your tracking number which will allow you to monitor the whereabouts of your wine via the FedEx website as it travels to its destination. You (and Amanti Vino) will also receive an email if there as an exception which holds up the delivery of the package. There are various reasons for exceptions, the most common being that no one is home or that there is no adult present to provide a signature. Please note that 3 exceptions will lead to the wine being shipped back to us.
