Attend Professional Wine Classes @ Amanti Vino
Evening WSET Foundation (Wednesday 12/2, Thursday 12/3 & Saturday 12/5) - Our first Foundation class was a huge success this summer and many students have already moved on to higher levels of the program. We have billed this as a "professional" wine class in the past, and while it certainly goes into more depth than our Saturday classes, it is perfect for the novice wine lover looking to add some structure to their wine knowledge. We will cover proper tasting method, explore the major grapes grown around the world and uncover the mysteries of food & wine pairing. There will be two sessions from 6:30 to 9 pm and a short, multiple choice test on Saturday. Once your test is graded you will receive a certificate, a WSET lapel pin and the ability to move onto the Intermediate Certificate class. The cost to attend is $285 and includes your wine text, two wine tasting sessions, all hand-outs and a written exam. We only have 12 seats available for this class so please let us know ASAP if you'd like to sign up.
Daytime WSET Foundation (Tuesday 1/5, Thursday 1/7 & Friday 1/8) - We have had some requests for a daytime classes and would like to offer one in the new year. This is a great holiday gift for all your friends who work odd hours, are stay at home moms/dads or have retired. All of the details are the same as above accept the sessions will be offered from Noon to 2:30 pm and the exam will be on a Friday. If you are interested in a January class, but are unable to do daytime please let us know. There are also 12 seats available for this class.
WSET Intermediate Certificate (January 13th through March 10th, Wednesdays) - This is the perfect class for those who have completed the Foundation level or who have a base of knowledge necessary to skip it. This is the best class available for those looking to increase their knowledge dramatically or maybe even break into the wine business. Sessions are held weekly for 8 weeks as we explore viticulture, winemaking, the major grapes and the world's most important wine producing regions. In-depth tastings are included in every class and you will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one feedback from professional tasters. Every member of the Amanti Vino sales team is required to complete this course and it appeals to the serious wine lover looking to expand their knowledge and refine their tasting technique. We will offer this class from 7-9 PM every Wednesday starting January 13th for 8 weeks with the exam on Wednesday, March 10th (just in time to be done before Spring Break). The cost to attend is $778 per person and includes your wine text, wine tasting sessions at each class, all hand-outs and a written exam. Successful candidates will receive the Intermediate Certificate, a lapel pin and ability to move onto the Advanced Certificate.
